Aviel joined Cidel in 2026 and specializes in quantitative analysis of credit and portfolio market sensitivities across fixed income strategies. His work supports credit analysis, portfolio optimization and management, and includes the ongoing development of proprietary portfolio management tools.

Aviel holds a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Financial Mathematics from Wilfrid Laurier University. He previously worked at the Bank of Canada and a life insurer and is a CFA Program candidate.
